Meet "Brad". A retro styled invitation to set the mood for a summer party (for those of you who are experiencing summer at the moment!) A great colour combo of blue, brown and burnt orange & yellow, it's a versatile design able to be used by the young right up to your husband, brother or dad!
Think of the event theme potential - VW Kombi van, lots of sand, surfboards, coconuts & tropical themed food, and of course, sun!
Okay, so I kind of fell off the wagon with my blog last week. Terribly sorry...I came down with the sniffles and enjoyed some, soup, tissues, and a heavy head - welcome winter!!
On to more delightful news however!... I have a new design in my store! It is aimed at the boys....other than "Meg", there has definately been an over abundance of boy orientated party themes going on lately. But never fear...I will be rectifying the situation soon...so stay tuned mother's of girls!! Until then...enjoy the aeroplanes! (And my cookies...)
Meet 'Meg'! She is the first up in the line of prints I am finalising at the moment. Remember these gorgeous products? A great start to some inspiration! Part of my Everyday Range, 'Meg' comes in a 10pk ready for you to fill in the details. Some cute illustrated toadstools, ladybirds and fluttery dragonfly set the mood for a 'Down in the Garden' party.
Well do I have some good news today! I have a new range of prints for everyday use. (It's not called the 'Everday Range' for nothing!!) I introduce to you the fill in-able invitation series! Four of my most popular designs are here to launch this range with more designs to come!
They ship in packs of 10, so great for the smaller event, and with you doing the work of filling in the details, they are a more economical version of the 'Personalised' range. So in a nutshell, some classy designs at a better price! Personalised prints (with all your details professionally printed) are still available as normal!
To celebrate the launch of this range, I will be hosting my first ever giveaway of Polkadot accessories for your next party. Come back tomorrow for all the details...can't wait!! Check out the new range with matching accessories, in my shop
Guess whooooo’s here? It’s Ryley! A cute owl announces the arrival of your new baby! It's a unisex retro design which could be used for a naming day, christening or birth announcement celebration. This birth announcement is personalised with your details in a postcard size (A6 or 4” x 6”).
Meet Alexandra! She is a Parisian black & pink floral design. A DL & circle prints are available. Complete with polkadot prints in the same theme. One of the designs from the gift tag freebie from the other day, was based on this design.
And how are these bits for inspiration to theme this event:
I'm off to the airport to pick up some friends from Canada that we met while in Africa..it's been so long! I'm planning to keep up the blogging while they're here, but forgive me in advance if it's not as frequent, or it's non-party related!
Ladies & Gentlemen, Boys & Girls - Welcome to Archie's Party! This invitation and accessories are my latest design. I didn't design it for anything in particular, just was thinking generic invitations for little people parties. I would love to have a little boy party on the horizon to practice some ideas I have for making this invitation into a complete event. How cute would a tin party favour be?
Or popcorn boxes
Or you could even play a little game of noughts & crosses at the table while the guests wait for food!
Contact me for orders for this invitation & accessories, and don't forget to come back later this week as I post a bit about the creative process behind this design...
My self-declared 'Baby Shower week' is now over, but here is some inspiration I didn't get a chance to post last week, and since I'm still in the Baby Shower mode with all your lovely feedback, here is a different theme to get your juices going!
The Safari theme is a personal favourite of mine, see my post here for the reason why. What started as my little guys first birthday party invite, has now turned into a complete set of stationery. I designed a Baby Shower invite just recently to fit in with the theme and introduced a little Zebra amongst the jungle animals! From Baby Shower Invite, Birth Announcement, and Party Invite. Pretty much the first year is covered! :)
Meet the safari party...
And some theming inspiration for children's party or baby shower!
Well, I have been busier than anticipated doing my 'real work' this week. But let me pause for a moment and post a little something for you from my 'fun work'!... Meet Jenny the baby shower invitation! Little 'Jenny' is expecting a baby and her friends are hosting her a great do in a brown & blue theme. (One of my personal favourite colour combo's). With a script font and dainty dotty flower feature, it's a little bit sophisticated.
And some inspiration for your next blue & brown baby shower!
Meet Amelia & Jacob. They are a little pigeon pair birth announcement. The boy version; Jacob, has a bright coloured transport theme with three images of your new little man. And the girl version; Amelia, has the same three image layout but has a cute little scalloped flower garden. These prints are designed in a DL size. Check out all our birth announcement designs at Polkadot Prints.
Meet Grace - A candy-striped, polkadot-ed, princess-pink birthday invitation. What girl wouldn’t want to give this invitation to all her friends!
This invitation was originally designed for my niece's 10th birthday party. She had a 'dress in pink' party with cupcake decorating, pink lemonade, and some outdoor games just to spice it up. It was a fun afternoon!
Text & large number can be personalised to match the occasion. The invite is a postcard (equivalent to A6 or 4” x 6”) size, and has matching 'Polkadot Party Dots' available which would also be personalised.
Until my online store is up and running, Contact me for prices and orders!
P.S. Sorry about the lighting in these photos - not the best!
Meet Michael. Out there and ready to party! This is a perfect invite for the teen or grown up in your world. The black textured background gives a great canvas for the bright lime, magenta, yellow and cyan circles to really pop. All text is spelled out in full, with a wild cutout image of the guest of honour, to get the party started!
Sample here seen in Square with matching ‘Polkadot Party Dots’ available.
Meet Lainey. A sophisticated invitation for all you ladies out there! (Or men. Really, who am I to say…) A striking yellow background with intertwined pattern contrasts nicely with the aqua feature showing all the party info in a bold caps font.
Sample here seen as a DL size with matching ‘Polkadot Party Dots’.
Meet Pippa. She is an oh so cute & whimsical little invitation or birth announcement. A buzzing bumble-bee scoots around the flowers and picture of your little girl with her name in multi-coloured type.
