FLORAL BIRTH ANNOUNCEMENT

I designed Lexie's birth announcement many months ago now, and I am still handing out to friends and family. So slack, but this is real life!
I think if I'd waited to have professional photos taken etc, then they'd still be in the making, so I guess I'm thankful for that, and better late than never right?!

I can't believe she is 5 months old already! If you follow me on Instagram you can see how big and chubby she's getting. Such a fun age! She even had her first taste of real food today...(mummy detail!). This three kids thing has been a juggling act, but I'm loving that we're getting into a better groove now. Yay.

NEW BIRTH ANNOUNCEMENTS FOR MINTED

I have been designing for a lot of Minted challenges over the past few months. The most recent was a birth announcement challenge, that I really hope I have a few designs selected for.

NAUTICAL BIRTH ANNOUNCEMENT

I recently designed this nautical birth announcement for some friends who had a little boy. They nearly didn't get birth announcments done because they didn't want them to be too feminine. I considered it a success when this little guys dad was won over!
You might not be able to see in the photos, but I printed these on a really lush matte card stock. And I have now added printing as an add-on option for any of my designs. It's been so inspiring to get back to my graphic design & printing roots!

I have add this nautical design as well as a shield design in my shop. I hope to add some more birth announcement designs as time allows.

HELLO HANDSOME FOR SALE

Hooray!! I won!!! Thank you to all who voted for my Minted Minibook designs. I can now proudly say I have one for sale!
I have to be honest it's pretty stiff competition and has taken a couple of different competitions to finally get one on the board, but I'm so thrilled.

Late last year I was asked to join the Minted Design community. Have you seen Minted before? From wall art, calendars & wedding stationery, to Christmas cards, invitations & birth announcements, their prints are designed by indie designers, and selected through competitions & voting. OWL ANNOUNCEMENT

I've just sent off Ellie's announcements for printing. I can't wait to get them back and send them out. She's now 6 weeks old so they're long overdue - Like a builder with a half renovated house, is a designers daughter without her own birth announcement!

While designing it though, it reminded me of this birth announcement I designed last year for a friends new baby. Owl's are still a happening theme and I love these sweet little guys sitting on their branch. And a newborn baby...even cuter!

I'm thinking I might make this design a new girl stationery collection for the shop in the coming months. What do you think?

Harrison's Birth Announcement

Remember this baby shower? This is the baby we didn't know we were celebrating! I love a photo announcement...cute eh? I designed this card (a little while ago now!) which were handed out to friends and family as a memento of little Harrison's birth, and also doubling as a thank you card. We women love to multi-task don't we?

Meet Amelia & Jacob. They are a little pigeon pair birth announcement. The boy version; Jacob, has a bright coloured transport theme with three images of your new little man. And the girl version; Amelia, has the same three image layout but has a cute little scalloped flower garden.
