My new store with more

Well, it has been a loooong time coming, but I finally have a new website! Hip, hip...Hooray!

I am no longer limited to number of products I can have in my store, and it's now integrated better into my site. I'm so happy with having things all together. I feel I finally have my ducks in a row!

A big thank you to the whole team at Webnovation who worked on making my idea and ideals just simply work!
Can't wait to officially share some new products in the coming weeks. Have a good browse around and let me know what new bits and pieces you find and like!

Twine is coming to town

 I've been interstate for a few days and when I came home, this is what was awaiting me at the post office direct from the US...fun, colourful baker's twine from The Twinery!

 

The spindles are so bright with lots of colour through their cottony strands. 

They come in a wide range of colours too - yellow, orange, green, red, pink, aqua, brown, & purple. The design possibilities are endless - Christmas, favours, packaging, garlands....Oh the things to be made!

It will be in my store soon, in full spindles or smaller bundles, but if you can't wait, just shoot me an email!

NEW DESIGN :: Everyday Invitation Range LAUNCH

Well do I have some good news today! I have a new range of prints for everyday use. (It's not called the 'Everday Range' for nothing!!)
I introduce to you the fill in-able invitation series! Four of my most popular designs are here to launch this range with more designs to come!

They ship in packs of 10, so great for the smaller event, and with you doing the work of filling in the details, they are a more economical version of the 'Personalised' range.
So in a nutshell, some classy designs at a better price!
Personalised prints (with all your details professionally printed) are still available as normal!

Archie Carnival Party :: Market Display

I decided to do up a dessert table for my market stall based on Archie (a carnival themed print I posted about a little while ago). I wanted to showcase how my invitations and paper goods could be used to theme an event. It had fairly basic elements considering space, but meant the stationery and colours remained the hero. 

 

I was feeling adventurous and decided to decorate a cake as a centre piece (never done one like this before - knowing I wouldn't get it completely smooth, I did it intentionally rough!! - work with your weaknesses I say!) The red dots are giant smarties!

Other than my cake turning into a complete blue puddle with the heat, everything else held up amazingly well!

Let the Blogging Begin!

So, I am beginning a blog. A new creative business needs a blog, so here it is!

Polkadot Prints was born out of my love of design, printed material, children’s parties and all things cute. I have been a freelance graphic designer since I was pregnant with my first child and have decided that I need to change a little of my focus so that project deadlines don’t create one stressed out and sleep deprived mum! (and wife!). That’s not fun!

So here it is – Polkadot Prints. Quality, invitations, greetings, announcements and party packages that are modern, classy, always cute, and a little bit different to what’s already out there. 

My website is in the throws of having an online store added, so stay tuned and until then, I will add some new designs and other creative endeavours here!
