OFFICE GARLAND DIY :: I DESIGN WITH TWINE

I design with Twine.  You know that cute bright twisted string used on anything from baked goods, to cards, wrapping, craft projects....? I am a big fan and I'm lucky to be part of the The Twinery's design team. This is my monthly contribution. Check out all the details, and other talented design ladies on the Twinery blog.

My magnetic 'job' board in my office was just a plain white, very task orientated place of orders, ideas and things to follow up on (or things that haven't yet been filed!) Pretty much paper stuck to bulldog clips. So, today I've got a little something to make your office or work space a little brighter with the help of some bright twine!

The full tutorial is over on the Twinery Blog today. You can download the free printable in my freebies section of my website. It helps bring a little bit of sunshine even when doing paperwork!
Happy Garland making!

I didn't really think about it till after I took the photos, but I kind of think it looks a bit Christmassy too! (file it away! :)

{Thank you too for all your lovely messages and comments from my little announcement yesterday, now that it's out there the excitement is outweighing the nausea!!}

I DESIGN WITH TWINE :: Pyramid Christmas Treat Box

Have you noticed the baker's twine revolution around the place of late? You know that cute bright twisted string used on anything from baked goods, to cards, wrapping, craft projects....the list goes on. I am a big fan, and recently used it here.
Even more recently, I have been asked to be on The Twinery's design team with a group of other talented ladies (you need to go and check out all the talent on the twinery blog)! The challenge - to use their gorgeous, brightly coloured twine in one project  per month for the next year. Boy, O, Boy, I'll have to get my craft on! Today I bring you my first project featured this week....

Twine is coming to town

 I've been interstate for a few days and when I came home, this is what was awaiting me at the post office direct from the US...fun, colourful baker's twine from The Twinery!

The spindles are so bright with lots of colour through their cottony strands.
They come in a wide range of colours too - yellow, orange, green, red, pink, aqua, brown, & purple. The design possibilities are endless - Christmas, favours, packaging, garlands....Oh the things to be made!

It will be in my store soon, in full spindles or smaller bundles, but if you can't wait, just shoot me an email!
