MOVING HOUSE + HAPPY WEEKEND

The Design Chaser Gallery Wall Home Inspiration
As we continue to unpack and set up home, I'm constantly thinking about the end goal of each room. What I want it to look like, how it needs to function. Biggest on my list is the lounge room. At the moment we have grey couches...on tiles...in winter...it's cold and not overly inviting. I'm inspired by this living space I've had on my Pinterest board for a while. Neutral but interesting. I like the gallery wall & clean lines. I'm drawn to these colours I've pinned too. We need something on the floor to start off I think though, so I might just start the rug quest this weekend. Wish me luck!

Thank you so much for the overwhelming response to my pozible campaign. The funds raised so far are almost a quarter of the target amount...in just two days! Blown away. Obviously there are still 28 days to go, but there's no time like the presence to pledge and make this dream become a reality. Yay, it's happening! :)

Have a great weekend x

HAPPY WEEKEND + WAITING FOR BABY

Valentine's Love Stickers | Polkadot Prints I hit the 39 week mark this week! So ready for this baby to arrive. To find out if it's a boy or a girl. Decide on a name. And to stop feeling like I am a ticking time bomb with everyone on 'red alert' for when the time comes :).

With our possessions still not here from our move, I'll be operating on a fairly minimal baby basis for the first few weeks. One, I don't think babies really need that much in the early stages, and two I can't even remember what baby paraphernalia is in our container, so I don't really want to go out and buy stuff that I already have!
I have been collecting a little bit of baby love though here. Babies are so new and lovely....

Stay in touch here for the breaking news if you don't follow already. I'm sure I'll be posting there first.

Here are a few things I've come across this week that I thought you might enjoy:

:: Adjusting to the changes of blogging
:: I would so love a photo shoot like this with our family. Maybe at the Ekka this year?!
:: Make a labour pack for a friend

I hope you all have a lovely weekend!

Love Jordan : )

P.S It's not too late to get your free "Love is..." wall print. Stay tuned for printed version of this in my shop really soon!

HAPPY WEEKEND :: ST ALBERT FARMERS MARKET

One thing that really stands out here in Canada is the appreciation for the four seasons. I'm guessing since there is cold & snow for so many months of the year, when spring & summer arrive, people really embrace it and make the most of the sunny days. It seems like every other person owns an RV and uses it on summer holidays or 'vacation'. Kids migrate to splash parks and it's festival and outdoor time for everyone.

We recently visited the St Albert farmers markets. Food, craft and produce. It was such a bustling, fun place to be. I'll definitely head back there sans kids in the next couple of weeks! (and did you ever have a painted rock? - see pic below!)

P.S. We had a big weekend moving into our new apartment. Finally painted and got our wordly goods out of storage. There are still boxes to unpack and a house to make a home, but it feels good to have some resemblance of normal back. Here's to regular creative time!

HAPPY WEEKEND

Photobucket
Hey all, popping in again just briefly. How awesome was the opening ceremony? I'm a big fan of the Olympics. I loved the whole opening set design and the grassy knoll element. I've always loved the outdoors indoors. Danny Boyle is one talented creative!

Here's a few things from around my own web browsing this week:

:: Always learning new things about photography
:: Would love one of these iPhone covers
:: Cutest photobooth DIY
:: If you love colour
:: Lava Cakes
:: Impressive Angry Birds party games

Still a week till we move into our own place. I've picked out a paint colour. Next is furniture hunting time. Hope you have a fun weekend! I'll post when I can. I can't wait to share some projects I've had collecting in my brain! xo
