A LIGHTBULB IDEA

Photobucket
So, it's finally here! Thanks to those of you have have left enthusiastic comments on my new look blog! I'm really loving the fresh white and clean space. (Thank you so much Tabitha!) I'm still deliberating over re-branding my shop too - I'm thinking of transferring everything to Etsy just to simplify while I move...I'll keep you posted on that front. But, can you give me any advice fellow shop owners? I'd love to hear your thoughts on Etsy and how it works (or doesn't work) for you and your business.

Also, a couple of weeks ago I had a light bulb idea of a competition/giveaway when this new blog launches, so when I get myself sorted with the details, there will be two great prize options up for grabs! I'm excited!! I can't wait - it requires you to get your craft on and get involved. Are you up for it?

  1. Hi Jordan,
I don't sell on Etsy, but LOVE using it ! it has so many unique things and you always manage to find something quirky. I think once you let people know that you are tranferring to there and have a clear link on your facebook page and blog then people will just go there instead. Especially while you are moving.
Just to let you know we moved from Ireland to Australia just over a year and 3 months ago, my little boy was 8 months and my little girl was 4. It takes a little while to settle in, but am sure you will all find your way after a short while. If the lodge turns out to be like any of the images you have pinned on Pinterest please book me in for a two week stay !!
    Best of luck

  2. Dawn, thanks so much for your thoughts and opinion! I'm going to do this Etsy thing!
And nice to hear from an international-move-survivor! It's definitely not for the faint-hearted. You'll definitely have to look us up if you're ever in Canada!

  3. Hi Jordan,
I'm not a seller on etsy. I like it for sneaking around. But I won't buy there. That is because I don't like the whole register with an Account thing. So if I found something interesting, I try to contact the seller personally. If it works -fine, if not - than not.
But that is just my point of view.
    Wish you all the best!!!!
