FAMILY IS FOREVER

Before Ellie was born, I organised to have some newborn photos taken with Etta Photography. We didnt' get professional photos taken of Levi as a little baby and it was something I really wanted to do this time round.
Maddie was truly so brilliant with 7 day old Ellie. She cried nearly the whole time for her solo shots, but Maddie still managed to grab those split seconds of peaceful looking baby-ness. So sweet! Can't believe she is now 8 weeks old - she's changed a fair bit since these photos and I feel like she has been around for ages. Oh how I love her! xo

We coupled her newborn pics with some of all of us, just because we could. You might remember the ice cream picnic we had at the park? Photobucket

Photos are something both Dave & I treasure, so these will definitely be added to the family album. Thank you for capturing us, Maddie! xo

ELLA'S BROWN PAPER & STRING PRINCESS PARTY

Okay I don't say this very often, but..."Oh my goodness, I love this party!"
I recently designed a new "Princess" collection for Maddie of Etta Photography. Her daughter Ella was turning 3 and wanted a pink princess party (don't all 3yr old girls?!) I have to say, not being tizzy girl myself, and being a mum of a little boy, I haven't had much to do with tutus and frills. But this party has changed my mind about how a princess party can look. Princesses are to girls are what trucks are to boys; it seems to be just built within them!

Maddie used a lot of pink which is kind of a given, but by using brown paper and some pretty home made touches it's still so very girly with no tulle in sight! It's a party any little girl would dream of. (And it kind of helps to have a mum who is an extremely talented photographer too!). Check out some of the photos Maddie sent me...

I love the tall paper party hats for decorating by the little guests, and all the cute food. (Thanks for making my printables look so good Maddie!) You can read and see more of this gorgeous party in her post here.

I'll be adding this collection to my shop soon, but in the meantime, please feel free to email me with your enquiries!

COUPLE SHOOT :: ETTA PHOTOGRAPHY

Well, hope you all had a lovely long weekend those of you in the right state - happy birthday Queen! It's time for me to catch you up on all that has been going on around here the past couple of weeks while I've been 'underground'!

One project I was so happy to be involved in was a photo shoot for Etta Photography (you may remember my sisters wedding earlier this year and those gorgeous photos - And I still have to show you more of that wedding...but alas, another day! :)
Maddie is the talent behind those images and so when she asked me to help her design some elements for a 'Love Story' shoot, of course I made sure I squeezed it in!

So vintage and fun!

My sister got married!

That's right, my sister got married on Tuesday! (You may remember the invitation I designed for them, which was inspired by this.)

The day was so amazingly different. I loved the whole vibe, the attention to detail, the fun and relaxed atmosphere with great food (she married a chef!), family and friends.
From swinging jars of romantic flowers, to parasols and lemon hooped wall hangings. Intimate and meaningful ceremony to icy cold drinks bar, gourmet food served on one long dining table finished by a sweet ice cream bar and dip in the pool. It was divine!

Maddie from Etta Photography captured their day perfectly. I'll leave you with some of her gorgeous images...
