Computer-Free moments :: Pencil Roll

I have started having one 'computer free day' a week. Sunday. It has really helped keep creative, keep focused, and also keep my priorities straight (I'm a bit of a blog addict on the weekends!)
One unexpected bonus, is that I have more time to be creative away from a computer! One of my latest projects I created for a little friends 2nd birthday, is this pencil roll. Not a new concept to all you crafters, but I wanted to make it self-contained with paper for on-the-go use.

I based it on this pattern but preferred a fabric version, so this is what I came up with:
(you'll have to excuse the tacked on velcro tab...machine chucked it in late at night!!)
It's kind of the 'girl' version to the car caddy I made earlier this year! So into it, I want to make another one now!

How do you manage your time and help curb the blogging addiction? (I have a sneaking suspicion I'm not the only one... :)

  1. Tash loves hers. Comes in very handy at restaurants, on planes and encourages quiet time

  2. It looks great....the bird is super cute! And what a great idea for having one computer free day a week. I get so distracted by the computer.....oops a whole day is gone. Hope your week is lovely. xo

  3. Very cute - yes computer free time is good for the soul! More time to actually be creative!

So great to hear from you! Thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts. I'll always answer your questions so please check back for a reply! xo

P.S I had to put the verification back on as spam was well...spamming me! : )
