STYLISH FEEDING COVER

Photobucket
Sometimes I think just because you have children, people assume you like bright, loud primary colours...everywhere! I'm not against colour, but when looking for a stylish feeding cover I came up empty (or my bank account would have been!) So I decided to make my own.

I bought the fabric from Spotlight, followed this tutorial, and within about an hour, I kid you not, I had my own muffin-top-hiding nursing cover. I added my own little ribbon 'label' to the edge - adds a little something! I was impressed with how easy it ended up being after having the fabric sitting there for weeks. Why did I put it off? It's so handy, I'm loving it!

P.S. I truly would love your feedback on Etsy from yesterday's post - I think I'm about to jump over, but feeling a little nervous and would love to hear your experiences as both a seller and customer!

IT AIN'T A PARTY WITHOUT STREAMERS

MADE is one of my daily blog reads. It's creative and gives me a breather from 'party world' (the affectionate name I have given all the party girls and blogs I love and am a part of!).

While usually clothes or home related, Dana has a sewing project that's perfect for any party or get together. She has created these awesome crepe paper streamers, that go from this:

And morph through a sewing machine into this...

The colour options are endless! I did a little test run last week, and cant wait to use them for real! You can find her full instructions here.

Party Favour Friday :: Stitched Paper Bags

Remember the farewell party from last weekend? As much as I wasn't able to design as much as I wanted to, I was able to put together some little favours for everyone to take home.
Again I want to highlight the humble Polkadot Party Dot. They are so versatile and so handy to have around for a quick 'jazz up' of...well...anything!
I had designed the dots previously, and then sewed the bags just the morning of the party.
Paper bags + party dots + sewing machine =
Inside was a family photo and some of these delicious Jersey Caramels...good family memories!
Hope you have a lovely weekend. I'm off to Melbourne...brrrrrr...so looking forward to it though...just what the Dr ordered I think! Hoping for some great design finds & inspiration!
