BRANDED LOGO STICKERS

Branding Logo Stickers | by Polkadot Prints
I've been working hard at updating my shop with heaps of new items. Still lots of products to add as I get the time, but I'm really happy with how it's looking, some old, some new. Why not head on over and take a look, you never know you might just find the invitation, wedding stationery or packaging you've been looking for!
One product I'm really loving are these stickers. I think they're perfect for businesses. I had some kraft envelopes lying around, so popped some labels on as just a little sample of Etta Photography's recent order. I look forward to seeing what Maddie does with them!
So versatile...think logos for packaging, gift wrapping your products, for bakery ingredients, clothing boutiques, party favours...anything really! You can find these & other stickers in my shop here.

Happy Browsing!

P.S. Thank you so much for your kind words from my post last week. Feeling surrounded by even more love and kindness. xo

AUSTRALIA DAY PARTY

I hope you've had a wonderful week! With the public holiday on Monday, my week has felt all out of whack. Are you the same? It's been first day of school for Levi this week too which has brought a whole new routine to adjust to (hello early mornings and packing lunches!).

But rewinding to Australia Day last weekend, I wanted to share a few fun photos from our day. We had a few families around for a day in the pool and a BBQ lunch. It was so lazy and relaxing and everyone had a grand old time. I've taken to making some pinata's lately so whipped up a surfboard filled with Cadbury treats for the occasion. (The first one I made was for Ellie's birthday earlier this month that I am yet to share with you).

It was pretty low key, but a last minute design idea I did up, were these little favour boxes for all the kids to take home the piƱata loot in. Finished off with a little Aussie flag from the reject shop!

Love this country. Love our culture. Love my friends & family!

P.S. I know I was late getting this invite in the shop for you to use for your own Australia Day parties, so I have made it into a wall print as well. You can purchase it here. Have your guests salivating with all those favourite Aussie foods! : )

NEW PRODUCT! :: MINI TRAVEL GAMES

While designing a new DIY I got a little carried away and created a new product for my shop especially for you.

I'm always thinking of ideas to occupy little people when travelling. I think theses mini tic tac toe sets are a winner for little people on the go. You could use these for party favours or birthday gifts, or give to a child about to head off on an adventure. I know I really appreciated friends who gave Levi gifts for the plane when we flew here to Canada. Or why not keep in your handbag for dr's waits, cafe visits or just 'bored' moments! I think grown up's would secretly enjoy playing these too!

I have kicked this range off with my space and ice cream designs, but I'll see how they go and might add more designs if they're popular. Each bag contains it's own board and two designs of tic tac toe pieces which  have velcro on the back so they stay put when your kids are playing on the go, and then they pack up all cute in their own little bag.

Don't you think they would come in handy?

These travel games are available for purchase in my shop. Get in quick before they go!

BACK TO SCHOOL LUNCHBOX TREATS

The school year is about to begin here in Canada. The long summer break is winding down and there are new beginnings, programs gearing up again for the school year, along with anticipation of some cooler weather.

All the shops have stationery sales happening at the moment. And being a big stationery lover, I was inspired by all the notebooks, paper and pencils, and made some little treat bags over the weekend. Easy enough to pop in your kids' lunchbox; a special note of encouragement or happy surprise in the early days of a new year.

Supplies
:: Notebook paper bags or whatever you have on hand (brown lunch sacks anyone?)
:: Round Chalkboard labels
:: Chalk
:: Lunchbox treats - I used yoghurt covered pretzels

I used these adhesive chalk-it labels which made it really easy. Just a matter of peeling, sticking and then writing a message. Filling with your kids favourite snacks and seal with, of course, a staple.

Your kids will be dancing just like this when they find a little love note from you in their lunchbox on their first days of school. Top mum award!

I'd love to hear what you think. Please feel free to leave a comment or ask a question in the comments section below. I'll always respond, so check back for answers or leave your email. I love reading what you have to say! Thanks for visiting. Jordan xo

LEGO GIFT BAGS

I have been so thankful to some people who have really blessed us in the first few weeks of arriving in Canada. I wanted to show them just a smidge of my appreciation. Not having all my usual arty supplies with me yet, I used what I had in my hand, which was a box of Lego and the basic craft supplies I jammed in my suitcase. I bought a roll of white textured wrapping paper from Michael's, and printed some printables to finish them off.
I love that they can be made in any size you like, and filled with anything!

Crease the edges while the paper is still wrapped around the lego block. It will make it easier to fold the sides together and the bottom up.
Photobucket
I used a 1" punch to finish them off.

You could go with the Washi tape and use it for decorating too, however I had some printables on hand of a new design that will be in the shop soon. Voila!
You can then go ahead and make them in any size you like!

HOBO STICK :: PARTY CRAFT

Hi ho, hi ho, it's off to the woods we go...
Photobucket Photobucket
I've had this party craft idea swirling in my head for a little while. It's based on my Farmyard Collection and would be a great take home treat for your farmyard or camping/outdoor themed party. It's really easy too which is always a bonus, right mum's?!
Supplies Needed:
Photobucket
I put some simple supplies in like milk, a little fruit pie and some farmyard animals in a cellophane bag tied up inside.
I haven't taken photos of how I put it together, but it's fairly straight forward (leave me a comment if you have any questions!) -
1. Place all your goodies in the centre of the fabric square.
2. Tie opposite corners together
3. Place stick over that knot & tie the remaining opposite corners over your stick to hold in place
4. Tie on thank you tag
5. Done!
And I had quite the willing participant for my photoshoot when he discovered he could eat the contents of his "hobo stick" when we were done!
Photobucket Photobucket
Don't you think a boy would love to take something like this home from your party...I know he'd be imagining the grand adventures that lie ahead!

HOOK TREAT BOX PRINTABLE

Cripes, all these long weekends are getting the best of me and I am totally in relax mode! Ahhhh....
I did want to share one last thing from the Down in the Garden party from last week though, which is a new printable treat box design; the "Hook Treat Box". Called that because that's how the top closes - genius?? Actually, I couldn't think of a better name, so 'hook' it is!

These were the party favours for the guests and they had two mini toadstool cookies inside. The cookies were from Linda of Bubble & Sweet, and the chocolate flavour was delish! They are one of my smaller boxes, so great if you don't want a lot of sugar or have something smaller as a gift to guests.

The boxes are now available in my store as a printable in your choice of design - you can personalise and print as many as you need! I've also just started a little Etsy store with some of my products, just incase you're a big fan and would prefer to buy from there...
Back to this long weekend... - Jordan x

DOWN IN THE GARDEN PARTY

Photobucket
I hope you had a lovely Easter weeekend! Ours was a day longer here in Australia this year. I was just getting back into things this morning, and find my latest party design featured on Hostess with the Mostess - what a happy beginning to my week! Extra smiles all round and a bounce in my step today...

It was based on my Down in the Garden themed invite and paper goods. Including a new printable treat box design (yay!) I think my favourite part are the milk bottles filled with chocolate milk and patterned paper 'lid' with a straw popped in the top. A little bit of a different take on the mini bottles and straws we've all used before.
Photobucket
And also a huge thank you to Linda from Bubble & Sweet who created the dragonfly cookie pops and toadstool cookies for favours. I'll share more details on the treat boxes, recipes and other details soon, so you can try these ideas at your next party. Feel free to ask any questions in the comments section too!

You can see more photos of this party and a future DIY on the ladybirds over on the HWTM blog
Thanks Jen!

Chocolate Covered Biscuit Sticks

Don't these just make you hungry? It's coming to that time of the year when I start to think baking, and cute packaging for Christmas gift giving! These yummy looking chocolate covered biscuit sticks are from We love baking. This idea is definately going into my 'ideas bank'. How cute for a theme party, packaged up with a gift tag, or popped in a jar for post dinner nibbles. What flavour would you create?

Party Favour Friday :: Shortcake in a Jar

(image source: if you know, please let me know!)
Okay so I don't know about you, but I find individual or mini things so appealing. I love this idea for a take home treat - Strawberry shortcake in a jar! You can find jars like this in kitchen stores, or even some cheap shops. You could get quite a production line going with these I'd imagine! Like this party favour, the cutlery is included to get a head start on the way home!
I did a more child orientated jar with the Billy thank you tag recently. I filled mine with milk bottle lollies, but you could fill with little plastic animals or pencils, for a sugar-free treat! Any other things you think would suit a jar favour?
Well it has been a big week here at Polkadot Prints (can you tell by the fact I am posting a Friday post on Saturday?? Ha!). I am taking a few days to visit my parents early in the week, so will see you in a few days.
While you put *your* feet up, here are a few things from around Blog-world this week. I hope you have a lovely weekend!
