MARABOUS EVENTS NAUTICAL CHRISTENING

Photobucket
I hope you had a lovely weekend! We had a farewell party with family and friends which was fun. I'll show you some photos when I have them but essentially, beautiful weather, beautiful friends!

I wanted to share a party today, that I had the privelege of working on with Marabous last year. Kelli contacted me after seeing this party, asking me to create some paper goods for a Nautical themed Christening held at the Sofitel in the city. I created table numbers, choc bar wrappers, place cards and buffet labels to match the invitation they'd had designed.
It looked like such a classy affair! I think my favourite aspect would be the cookies by The Lemony Cupcake -  love the gold detail!
You can find the full details and more photos of this nautical party at Hostess with the Mostess.

I hadn't heard of these girls before I worked with them on this project, but they are the real deal and have been event planners here in Australia for a while. They are also filling a need here in Australia in taking event submissions on their own site, so if you have a party you want to share, send it through to Kelli & Michelle!

AHOY THERE SAILOR!

In the last little while I have had some lovely exposure of Polkadot Prints. Welcome to those of you who are new followers, thanks!
The latest feature was from Kim of the The TomKat Studio. If you're a fan of hers, you may have seen this party on her blog yesterday. It was the first birthday & dedication of my nephew, who it feels has almost grown up on this blog - baby shower, birth announcement, and now first birthday & dedication. (It helps that my sister loves events and planning!)

His room has a classic nautical colour scheme and so translating that to his party was only natural. There were a lot more adults than children at the party, so we were able to do a few more grown up things with food which was fun. Take a look ::

Salt & pepper squid and curly fries came out fresh in paper cones with decorative party dots - they were gone in a heartbeat!

This jelly slice is so handy as you can make the top layer any colour you like to match your event. You may have seen it here before. The cake was made by another sister Mercy - legend!

Another winner - Mini Hot Dogs; adults loved these just as much as the kids! All the paper goods so-ordinated with these invites. Rectangle & round buffet labels and straw tags really helped tie the theme together.

I used these pyramid treat boxes personalised for each guest to fill with lollies as a take home treat. Yum!
And one of the birthday boy and my sister...so pretty!

Supplies: Nautical Printables | Personalised Treat Box | Life Bouy | Cake (one of my sisters!) | Drink Dispenser | Other elements were either supplies I already had or things that were made. (let me know if you have any questions and I'd be more than happy to help where I can!)

I think my favourite part were the mini hot dogs and the treat boxes. What about you?

Nautical Party Preview

Photobucket
I hope you had a lovely weekend! My nephew had his first birthday and dedication on Saturday - a nautical theme! I'm just editing photos at the moment, and wanted to share a little preview. Oh it's cute! :)

How are your Easter plans coming along? I definately need to get into the Easter egg shopping soon, not to mention stock up on a few extra chocolate hot cross buns! Only a few more days left to buy Easter printables. And the store should be filled with a few more delights this week...yay!

Gary's 50th Dessert Table

Sharnel from Sharnel Dollar Designs & I were sitting talking about a joint Christmas project recently, when she whips out this Ralph Lauren wallpaper and started talking about an event she was working on for a gentleman's 50th birthday. Next thing I know, we're talking ideas and I am working on some custom printables for it!...
A few weeks later, and she creates this stunning table! You may have seen it featured on Amy Atlas yesterday. I love it! It's quite unusual to see a masculine looking dessert table, but Sharnel has done it with style. Maybe it's the beginning of things to come...
I love the colours, the simple and stylish feel. And those cookie favours in bags...totally my fave. Another gorgeous design, Sharnel, this is now my new favourite of your events!
