CANADA HERE WE COME!

Okay, it's been a long time coming but I can finally share with you all some big news happening in our world. (Could there be something bigger than a new baby you ask?) Well, our life is about to get a whole lot more interesting. Drum roll please......

We're moving to Canada!

Yes, that's right, the land of snow, moose and ice hockey! Being married to a Canadian, I guess this move has always been a little inevitable as Dave's desire to live in the 'mother country' has always been near the surface. So when the opportunity to purchase a property and business over there, we took it. We'll be running a boutique Lodge overlooking a beautiful lake in BC. It needs some TLC but we're up for the adventure! (I've started brainstorming ideas here on a Pinterest inspiration board!)

Due to the downturn in the real estate market we had to delay our plans by a year, but now there is no out - tickets are booked for a few months time, and we are preparing to leave the known for the unknown (arrrggghhh!! I'm going to miss so many people and things!).

I will still run my online store and continue to share creative living ideas here and maybe even fill you in on some of the journey of moving to another country. I'm also looking forward to connecting with a new circle of Canadian design & party girls (so, if you are one, please say hi!). And maybe being in the Northern Hemisphere, I might even make it to Alt Summit next year....a girl can dream!

I'm trying to live one day at a time, but I am a little nervous about travelling on a long haul with two children. Have you ever done a big overseas move? Do you have any tips or advice for me? xo
