It's in the midst of summer and still really hot (at least for this pregnant chick), so I'm really looking forward to at least looking at some snow over the coming weeks with these winter olympics happening. I love me some olympics tv viewing. I've downloaded this app ready to catch up on all my fave events too.
When we moved back from Canada, this teaser ad had just launched and it made me feel so darn patriotic. This is how those Aussie athletes train...Go Aussies! : )
P.S This was how we celebrated last winter games opening ceremony.
Have a great weekend!

SNOW-SHOEING ADVENTURES
I have just finished a book by Bear Grylls documenting his Everest climb. Which was totally gripping. While it has confirmed I have no desire whatsoever to endure such hardship as navigating the tallest mountain of the earth, It has inspired me to get out and find a sport to take up in this cold weather.
I'm really drawn to snowshoeing. I've only done it once before, but I enjoy walking in general, so I figure it's exercise without having to throw myself down a mountain, like snowboarding or the like.
I headed out on my first snow shoe adventure on the weekend, and it was a winner! Bring on more days of embracing the great outdoors...winter or not!

LET IT SNOW...
It has arrived, it's snowing!
Winter is definitely here. It started with a few light 'flurries' and today I'm sitting at my desk as it pours down and covers everything.
Rooftops are white as far as the eye can see, and if you stand in it, it's so gentle and quiet. So magical and 'Christmassy'. I love it!
